smiley360.com mission Knorr Homestyle stock

Chicken and Potatoes in it's own Gravy:
On a mission for smiley360.com I was sent the Knorr homestyle chicken Stock to use and review.
If you've never heard of smiley360.com they are a review site where you sign up and they offer you missions. There are many different types of missions, but my favorite are the ones where they send me a free product to try out and review! This mission was trying the Knorr Stock, and I wasn't sure what I would make with it. I decided to just make something simple and easy. For our busy life the easier the better!
What I used:
  • 3 Chicken Breast
  • 6 or 7 peeled potatoes cut in half
  • Knorr homestyle Chicken Stock
  • pepper
  • flour to thicken
  • water
I took my large skillet, and placed the chicken and potatoes and filled the skillet and added water about 4 cups. Then I added the Knorr Stock. I let this all boil turning the chicken over. Once the chicken was cooked through, I took two forks and shredded all 3. Added pepper to taste, and stirred in some flour to thicken the mixture, and give it a nice gravy consistency. This was really good, it reminded me of chicken and dumplings only with potatoes instead of dumplings. My husband really liked this too, we didn't have any left overs!
If you haven't noticed I love dishes I can make all in one skillet. I don't mind cooking, it's the clean up that kills me. Any time I can get away with using one pot or pan, that's a dish I'll make again and again!

  1. The quick dish for our family is Breakfast for Dinner :) It started with my busy Mother and I use the same go-to with my family. Eggs over easy, turkey link sausage, whole wheat toast, and sliced tomatoes. Have a great Saturday!

  2. Chicken Fry salad.... I know it's not homemade exactly but it's quick. We just add chicken tenders or fries on top of our salad. ;)

  13. ooh, I like this. I love chicken and dumplings, but my kiddos don't like the dumpling consistency. Win-win. And I love the little Knorr sides, so versatile!

  15. Sometimes the simplest things are best. I used to pair beef with potatoes a lot, but I need to cut back on beef thanks to gout. This would be an inexpensive and filling meal to try.

  19. My go-to dish when I'm in a hurry is Chicken Rice-A-Roni. I quick-thaw a couple of frozen chicken breasts (the kind that come frozen in a bag), & cut them up into smaller pieces. I fix the Rice-A-Roni as directed, and just add the chicken when I add the water. It's super easy to make, and my family loves it!
