Join the March.

Did you know that more than a half a million babies are born too soon each year?

The March of Dimes is a charity helping to raise awareness, and funds. The money you raise supports programs in your community that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies. And it funds research to find answers to the problems that threaten our babies. They've been walking since 1970 and have raised an incredible $2 billion to benefit all babies.

I've tried to walk every year when I can. This year I won't be able to attend my local walk, due to an out of town wedding. I'm still participating in raising funds and spreading awareness. What could be better than helping babies? Nothing I know of.

If I only knew then...

What I know now.

With so many people talking about the world economy, and all the talk of unemployment rates. It's no surprise there's a lot of hype about couponing. A family member introduced me to the world of couponing, and it changed the way I shop.
When we had our son I was not couponing. I was paying full price for diapers. After our son was 3 months old, we were paying full price for formula too. I started couponing, and I was amazed at how much I could save on diapers. I started a stockpile of diapers.(pictured above) Using the buy-ahead principle we never pay full price for diapers or wipes. This has made a huge difference in our monthly budget. As you can see from the photo I'm not brand dependent. I use Pampers, Huggies, or Store brand. Buying whatever brand is the least expensive. Using a coupon doesn't always make for the best deal. Pairing up store coupons and manufacturer's coupons have made some great deals for me. I am blessed with a good amount of storage space for my stockpile, but if you are limited on space. The buy-ahead principle can still work for you. The idea is to just buy your items before you run out using coupons and sales to save money. That way when you run out of an item, you don't need to run out and pay full price.
You don't have to go to extremes to save money. Just plan ahead, and your bank account will thank you.

A great day to be chasing a 2 year old!

Today, I haven't been online much I didn't have much inspiration for writing a post. I took my son, and we took to the outdoors. Just to enjoy a great day. We went to a local park of sorts, and it was splendid! The only thought I will share, I'm so blessed to have my little guy. Even when he runs from me, and makes me slightly (at times more than slightly) crazy. I love him. I thank God for the chance to be this special little man's mommy. ~ Whatever kind of day you are having, give thanks for your blessings. Beck

*ABC as easy as 123*

Isn't she the sweetest thing ever? Of course I think so, I'm her aunt. This is an 8 1/2 x 11" page with a 5x7 picture created for the second spot in a scrapbook I'm working on for my niece. My niece is now 9 years old, and this scrapbook has been a work in progress since she was a baby. How do you span so much time in one scrapbook? How do you tie it all together? In this book I've been working on, it's as easy as ABC! This is an alphabet scrapbook. Every page is a letter of the alphabet, working my way through the whole alphabet. The page above is for the letter B. I chose Booga-bear, my niece's nickname as a baby. The fun thing about using the alphabet to make your pages, you can skip around with dates, occasions, people. Whatever you want to make a page about just come up with something about your picture to go along with the letter for your title. This alphabet scrapbook has more than one theme, the alphabet, and my niece. Every page is made especially for her. Someday, I will have the joy of giving it to her.

What makes a great ABC scrapbook, is the BIG LETTERS. Big letters draw your attention (did you notice?) The title for every page should highlight the key letter. It doesn't have to be the first letter of your title, but for me that makes it a little easier. As with any scrapbook I'm working on I try to come up with 2 complimenting pages at a time. Even if you don't know what your title word will be, you will know the next letter coming up. I try to make sure I have the 2 Letters or enough paper and accessories to do 2 pages before starting. Just try to keep things from clashing.

Getting ready to start a scrapbook, and at a loss for themes? ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXY&Z
now I know my ABC's next time won't you scrap them with me?
Happy Scrapping!

We Love the T Shirt that my husband choose. When we picked ours out we were sort of limited to what we could choose. Our t-shirt had to be less than $16 and couldn’t be one that was on sale. Seems like the night that we chose just about every t-shirt was on sale. However , being the gamer that my husband is he found a world of warcraft T-shirt that he loves.

world-of-warcraft-full

Their t-shirts are soft and 100% durable. they are made with 5.2 oz pre shrunk cotton. They are two needle hemmed sleeves and the bottom won’t unravel. The fabric is soft and comes in a variety of colors. My husbands shirt is blue. His shirt has been washed several times and the logo on the shirt has washed up great! So far no cracking which typically comes from wear when wearing a inexpensive tee. So far his t-shirt has withstood everyday life , hes worked out in the yard, as well as around the house and its held up through all the washes as well.

Every other week my husband games, so this shirt fits his lifestyle! He loves wearing it to his gaming meets. If you love crazy t-shirts I highly recommend Nacho Mama T-shirts the prices range from 6.99 to $24 but if you watch their website your bound to find a t-shirt on sale . Sometimes just about all of them. Such as the night we looked most of the t-shirts then were on sale.

You too now could have the chance to pick out a shirt of $15 value or less.Winner will win a $15 gift card to Crazy Dog T-Shirts I was able to review one shirt and all opinions above are my own opinions I was not compensated with money. Making My Own Decorative Bubble Mailer

I've sort of been obsessed looking for decorative bubble mailers. I bought some on clearance at my local post office the other day, and every since then I've been trying to find more of them. Searching online I came up with several Etsy shops that make and sell them, so I looked up how to make my own.

Light it up Blue ~ Autism Speaks~

I personally don't have a child with Autism, but I have friends with children affected by Autism. I don't fully understand this condition, I went here to try to learn more about it. Did you know 1 in 110 American children are affected? This year I learned of a special awareness day for Autism, I plan to participate and light my house up blue, and dress my son and myself in blue! If you happen to see places of business with blue lighting on April 2, 2012, you will know why.  If you drive by my house on that day/night my porch light will be glowing blue for Autism awareness.
 Won't you join me?
To learn more about Autism or to walk, donate, and light it up blue.Visit http://www.lightitupblue.org

Light It Up Blue, in its third year, is a unique global initiative by Autism Speaks to help raise awareness about the growing public health concern that is autism. Iconic landmarks around the world will Light It Up Blue to show their support on April 2, 2012 - World Autism Awareness Day.
