Bright Idea for Shaded Play

I received the Pop Up Sun Shade mentioned here free for the purpose of review, all views and opinions are my own honest evaluations. Sponsor is responsible for prize fulfillment. See Disclosure.

We're so delighted to have the chance to review another great toy from Schylling. With Summer in full swing every kid I know is running out to play from sun up to sun down. I love that our Booper is one of those kids who can't get enough outside play time. He is always begging to play outside, and when it's time to go in he cries for just a few more minutes of play. I'm all for him getting as much time outside as possible playing outside is great for children and their development. Recently the Toy Industry Association Inc. listed their Top 6 Tips for Safe Summer Play with keeping bodies protected from sun and heat as number 4 on the list. While I grew up with very fair skin I now have too many freckles to count, so I'm a fanatic about skin protection when it comes to the Booper. The Booper loves to wear hats, and sunblock is a part of our outside play routine, but he absolutely loves this cool Pop Up Outdoor Sun Shade from Schylling.

This Pop Up Sun Shade came ready to go with it's own bag and 3 stakes to keep it in place. We have 2 beach trips planned for later in the year and I think this shade will be perfect for keeping the direct sun and heat off the Booper while building sand castles. He loves his new "tent" as he calls it. It really is big enough to be played in by more than one child, or you could sit and play with your child too! With 2 side vents to keep the air flowing and 1 window in the back that is perfect to help you keep an eye on your child from either direction. The large yellow sitting area is great because it keeps your kids off the ground and helps to keep them clean (well if that's even possible with boys).

We love the blue and yellow with orange trim design, since after several uses and accidentally being left outside over night this sun shade has held it's amazing quality. I've come to expect a high standard of quality from Schylling toys and I've yet to be disappointed. I look forward to taking this Pop Up Sun Shade with us on all our travels throughout the Summer and it will continue to be used in our back yard as the Booper loves his new "tent". I love that this shade is keeping the harmful sun and heat at bay and helps to protect the Booper's skin. The great thing about this being a Pop Up Shade is it really holds it's shape, so the Booper has played with this inside too.

Some of the Pop Up Outdoor Sun Shade's awesome features include:

  • 50+ UPF Shade
  • Pops Up and Down in Seconds (very easy!)
  • Go Anywhere Bag Included
  • They will think it's part of the fun-you will know it's protecting their skin!
This is a perfect outdoor toy to take along to the beach, pool or just for use in your backyard (our favorite place so far). Any time you want to give your child some extra protection from the sun and heat this is shade you take with you!
A special note from me: I also want to give a shout out to one of the Booper's favorite toys we got in the past from Schylling - the Scuttlebug! We received the Scuttlebug from Schylling for a review last year, and the Booper still rides it around even though he's really too big for it. A really great toy!
