Next stop on our holdiay gift guide will take you on a ride! At least your marbles anyway. While browsing around the whimsical Magic Cabin site I fell in love with some classic toys, and was surprised to see some really innovative new toys too. With so many toys built to entertain, educate and keep imaginations alive Magic Cabin made it difficult to choose just one toy for review. Like so many children his age the Booper loves building and construction sets so I wanted something that would feed that passion for him. I believe I found the perfect toy for him with the Quadrilla Basic Set marble run.

When this marble run play set arrived I was just as excited as the Booper to put it together. I will admit it took me a few minutes to get the hang of how all the blocks and runs needed stacked, but the picture instructions were super easy and trial and error is part of the fun. The Quadrilla sets are made for ages 4 and up but our little guy loves this set. He can't put the run together by himself yet, but he can put on all the smaller accelerator pieces once the run is together. He loves the action and the spiral is his favorite he calls that piece the kitchen sink because the marbles spiral down like water. Love it! I love how sturdy this set is being made of wood the blocks are colorful and will stand the test of time. Speaking of time he has spent so much time playing with this set that I'm considering buying the add-on sets so we can build a longer run. The Basic set is a great gift size, but once your child is in love they will be begging for more.

Honestly I have a lot of fun designing a unique run and watching which way the marbles will go. Don't worry about lost marbles this set comes with 50 plus 1 Spiral, and 4 Curved Runs to use along with several Blocks and Accelerators. Retailing for $64.98 this set is sure to be around for many holidays to come! Want to see the Quadrilla Sets in action? Watch this fun video to see how the blocks work and see some of the available add-on sets. The Booper watched this video with me and was pointing out some of the add-on sets he wants to try. Perhaps, Santa will bring him one for Christmas?
