Deliciousness at Home #LoveBrewOverIce

I received the below mentioned products free for the purpose of review, all views and opinions are my own honest evaluations.

Last month I had the pleasure of going to one of the biggest blogging conferences, Blogher13 in Chicago. While I was there I had the opportunity to meet up with some amazing brands and taste and try some new products. One of the booths I visited at the Expo was the Keurig Brew Over Ice booth. At that time I did not own a Keurig, but I thought they were cool. Then at the Expo I had the chance to taste an Iced Coffee made with a Keurig. The lovely young woman who was working in the Keurig booth walked me through the steps of using the Keurig, and how easy it was to make coffee house coffee in just 2 minutes or less. I was so impressed with the ease of use and the taste of the iced coffee she made for me I came home and bought a Keurig brewing machine. Yes, I loved it that much.

Back to School Supply Donation - Game on!

“I participated this campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Boys & Girls Clubs of America. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.”

The last few weeks have been buzzing with all the fun back to school talk, and I've been sucked in and I'm so excited to see a new class of children entering school. I love looking at my facebook feed and seeing all my friends posting pictures of their kids' first day of school. How fun to get all those new supplies and head out to make new friends and see what you will learn? Kids start out in school with wonder and excitement at what the future holds, but did you know over 1 million students in the US don't complete high school? It's just one more reason to support your local Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BGCA). Offering help with homework and great programs to build character BGCA are helping to make a difference in our communities one child at a time.

Get involved!
Helping the BGCA is as easy as playing a game! That's right, just by playing a fun and easy trivia game you can help make a difference. Head over to the BGCA site and click on the Ready. Set. Give. banner to play! Every time someone gets 5 correct answers Disney is going to donate supplies to BGCA, all the way up to 40,000 supply kits! Help BGCA reach their goal by playing the simple trivia and you can help a child have the tools to succeed. They were at just under 10,000 when I played. Leave me a comment and let me know what number you were! Let's see how fast we can all help BGCA reach 40,000! This campaign will be open until August 23, 2013 so don't wait to play.

Get Moving! Time to Chase Cheeky {Review and Giveaway}

I received this game for the purpose of review, all views and opinions are my own honest evaluations. See Disclosure
Sponsor is responsible for prize fulfillment.
The Booper is now 3 and as many of you know he is very active and always on the move. As a blogger who gets lots of fun things for review, the Booper gets to help me test out some really fun toys and games, and this time it was Hasbro's new Chasin' Cheeky game. Mr. Boop knows he has to wait for me to take pictures before he can tear into a game or toy and with Cheeky it was just almost too much to handle. He couldn't wait to get his hands on this purple monkey! From the new line of games for pre-schoolers 'Cheeky' is one of Elefun's friends. Chasin' Cheeky gets kids up and moving a game full of monkey chasing action.

Shine On! Banana Boat Review

I participated in this campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Banana Boat. I received product samples and promotional item as a thank you for participating.”
When you have children you don't even feel like you have a choice but to be outside in the Sun. Kids need that outdoor playtime and trust me my house needs the Booper to play outside as much as possible too! I love playing with the Booper outside and taking him to our local splash park. Soaking up the sun is great for my mood, sunny days make me feel happy and I'm not the only one. I know there's been lots of research that suggests sitting in the sun is great for depression. The last few years I've had to consider the safety of being exposed to the sun as much I have in my lifetime. Both of my parents have had skin cancer spots removed from their skin, my mother has had 3 places on her face, and one required special technique to try and keep her eyebrow in place. With all that in mind I now look at any sun burn as too much. I never want the Booper to have a sun burn, I will make sure he is always lathered in sunscreen or sun block.

Back to School-Pay it Forward

Disclosure: I received $25 to buy and donate the supplies mentioned in this post. See Disclosure.

Can you believe Summer is coming to an end and it's time for back to school? I know I feel like this Summer flew by so fast I have whiplash. Those parents with children heading back to school and professionals who work in education realize all too well how fast Summer goes by. Heading back to school and starting school for the first time can be an exciting time for children and parents, but for some families the excitement is lost when they don't have the funds for supplies. I sit as a manager of raising funds for a local private school, and I see first hand how the stress of paying tuition and buying supplies at the start of the year can play out for families. Even families who don't normally struggle with finances can really feel the burden during the beginning of the year. Considering all the needs during this time, new clothing, tuition, book fees, shoes, supplies, lunch money- it's no wonder families feel the pinch. This year I'm so excited to be a part of this fun blogging pay it forward event put together by the Madame Deals team.

There's no place on earth that's quite as relaxing as the beach. For me going to the beach is like an awaking for my soul, a place to go and feel raw and renewed. Our family has two beach vacations planned for this Fall, and I can't hardly wait. We will be going to the East coast to visit family, then traveling south to spend some time on the beach in Florida. Both of our planned trips will involve time spent at the beach and in the sand, that's why I'm so happy to have the chance to review Sand Gone.

Famous Footwear - Women's Reebok Review

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Reebok. I received a Famous Footwear gift card to purchase a pair of Reebok shoes to facilitate my review and to thank me for participating.”

I was excited to have the chance to review some Reebok shoes for this fun campaign from Mom Central. It has been ages since I've had a pair of Reeboks and I couldn't wait to see if they would fit my hard-to-fit feet. I seem to have issues finding sneakers that have a comfortable fit for my high arched and wide feet. I typically wear a size 7 1/2 -8 in shoes, so I tried picking out these Women's Sublite TR shoes from Reebok. I'm not clueless when it comes to shopping for shoes at Famous Footwear, I loved shopping in thier store when we had one close by. This time I had to shop online, which was super easy and actually way less stressful than taking the Booper shoe shopping with me.

Fun, Fun on the Ranch! Lincoln Log Play Set {Review and Giveaway}

I received this toy free for the purpose of review, all views and opinions are my own honest evaluations. See Disclosure. Sponsor is responsible for prize fulfillment.
Since this set arrived we've been building everything from garages for his cars to towers for his dinosaurs to knock down. The Booper has been having an amazing time playing with this Redfield Ranch LINCOLN LOG play set. Not too long ago we had the fun task of reviewing one of the smaller Lincoln Log sets, and I loved how well the set would mix with the Booper's other toys. Now this new larger set has added to his fun, plus it came in an awesome storage barrel! I can't say enough about toys that come in a reusable storage container like this one. The cool thing about the barrel is it has plenty of extra room so his other set fits inside as well. The Booper isn't always the best about picking up his toys, but we've been working on it, and this really helps. He knows exactly where his Lincoln Logs should go and he's been getting better about picking up when he's finished. This set comes with everything you need to ignite your little one's playtime and set them up to construct the Redfield Ranch.

TinkerToys for a new generation of fun!

I remember the day my mom brought home a barrel of TinkerToys for my sister and I to play with. We were older than the Booper and we looked at my mom like she was crazy. I remember thinking, "Why does mom want us to play with those baby toys." it was funny how fast those thoughts changed. My sister and I played with the wooden TinkerToys all the time. We had fun building with the sticks and spools making towers or trying to see what awesome shapes we could construct.A classic since 1913, TinkerToy is new and improved for the new generation. When I was offered this review I was excited for the Booper to have the chance to play with the same toys I loved as a child.
I was given these toys free for the purpose of review, all views and opinions are my own honest evaluations.

Cab Fare, New Friends, Fireworks and Being Becky #Blogher13

Hey everyone! I'm happy to have arrived safely back home last Sunday. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to go to my first ever blogging conference which happened to be Blogher13 in Chicago. Having no idea what to expect out of the experience I have to say my expectations were honestly very low. I figured with all the hustle and bustle of the big city I would find myself swallowed up among the masses and take home very little useful knowledge about myself and blogging in general. I know this makes me sound like a true pessimist even though I'm really not, I promise. I guess I just didn't want to come home disappointed. The expense of this trip was very high, and I'm still working out the numbers and my budget to see if the cost was worth what I gained, but the more I think about it I have no doubt it was worth every penny. Can I really put a dollar sign on friendships?
