On October 28th 2014, Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios made an announcement at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood California. This announcement had to do with Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With Phase 1 finished, and Phase 2 only two movies from being done, it is only natural that a Phase 3 announcement made to build up the hype for Marvel Studios.

Phase 3 will be featuring some of our old favorites as well as will be introducing plenty of new faces to the big screen. Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), and Chadwick Bosemand who will pick up the role of Black Panther, made a special appearance in Hollywood to join Kevin Feige on stage for the big reveal.

As you may know, the next films to hit theaters are:

Avengers: Age of Ultron, which will release on May 1st 2015 and will star Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America), and many more old and new characters

Ant-Man, which will open on July 17th of the same year and will star Paul Rudd (Ant Man), Michael Douglas (Hank Pym), Evangeline Lilly (Hope Van Dyne), Corey Stoll (Darren Cross) and many more.

Nine additional films and release dates were announced at that event. Here are a few things we can expect from Marvel Studios.
