Family Devotions Delivered With The Family Box {Review and Giveaway}

I received the below mentioned product free for review, all views and opinions are my own. Sponsor is responsible for prize fulfillment. See Disclosure.
If there's one thing most families say they want more of- it's time spent together. Life can get so busy and we sometimes push the most important things to the back burner while we get through the week. I know it's so easy to do, since we've been there the last few weeks while my husband was switched to a night shift schedule. We've just been going through the motions of school, work and chores. We rarely have time to sit down as a family and do a devotion. I was delighted to have the opportunity to receive the Family Box to change all that. Family Box is a simple subscription box designed to make family devotions easy and fun for younger children. Exactly what we've been needing!
About Family Box
A ministry of passion, Family Box was created by Josh and Trisha Berry as a simple way to introduce weekly family devotions in a positive way to your children. For families with children ages 4-9 the included hands-on crafts make learning about God's word fun. The content included in Family Box is non-denominational and has been reviewed by other parents of different religious affiliations.

Our Experience
When our Family Box first arrived I was impressed by the attractive packaging. The bright blue and green box got the Booper excited to see what was inside. Making him wait until daddy got home helped to create anticipation for good things. Once we opened the box the interior was divided into four sections, one for each week. What I love about Family Box is all the time spent planning and gathering supplies has already been done for me and we're able to jump in at a moment's notice. We may not set one night for our family time since my husband's schedule can vary from week to week, but all we needed was fifteen minutes. We just pulled out our Family Box and were able to be blessed by our devotion time.
Week one was all about how each of us is unique and special since God made us that way! A very simple thought that we were able to go into more detail with the Booper. He loves talking about creation and how God made the world! This week included some molding dough to play with and create something original. The Booper relates everything to his video games so we had to laugh when he told us we had passed level one and now we could level-up to number two next week!
My favorite week from the box we received would have to be week three, since we got to make these adorable sheep. Talking about the Good Shepherd and how we are members of God's flock was a fun topic, plus the craft was tons of fun! All the supplies to make these little sheep were included, but what really struck me was each of us took the same supplies and instructions and our sheep looked so different. We tied this lesson back to the first lesson about how God makes each of us unique, and each of us had different ways to make our sheep. Remember, God loves Ewe!

Family Box is the perfect gift to give to families with young children, or to purchase for your own family! The subscription starts at $25 for one month and there are discounts if you buy more months at a time. If you have multiple children don't worry the cost won't change unless you have a family of more than seven! When you consider the eternal value of time spent with your children talking about God's word and teaching them by example you'll know this subscription is priceless.

  3. I absolutely think kids benefit from family devotions. Our family devotions are were we get our core beliefs and morals. The biggest benefit from using the box would be that what they learn something new or different from what they learn at church or bible study. The Bible would be reinforced in this box and by learning at home with different lessons that include crafts and time spent together as a family.

    I definitely think my children would benefit from family devotions!! My 3 year old loves her Bible story book and little devotion book and reads with her daddy every night, as I get the youngest down to sleep. I think this would help our family come together and do devotions as one entire family unit. :)

  7. I am always trying to think of ways to get creative but also spend time together as a family. Something like this would really benefit us because we don't have to run around looking for items to use and such. Everything just comes in a neat and colorful box. I am definitely looking more into this because it is such a good idea. Thank you for sharing! :)
