Organic milk right off shelf? You bet! Before I was contacted for this review I didn't know about these milk boxes from Horizon. The Booper like most kids loves chocolate milk. He doesn't get it often so it's a special treat when we let him add chocolate to his milk. We received 20 individual serving milk boxes for this review, and so we wanted to share them with friends. On a Friday when we were going to be helping at the school, the Booper and I met with the children at the park for snack time. These milk boxes are served best chilled, and I kept them on ice packs at the park, but they are safe to store in a cool dry space like your pantry. To my surprise the Booper liked the Vanilla just as much as he loved the Chocolate flavored. The students all enjoyed drinking the Horizon milk boxes with their cookies at the park. Thankfully we had enough to give everyone seconds after their play time! A couple of the boys had the chocolate flavor the first time and were a bit nervous to try the vanilla, then one of them exclaimed, "this is really good!". I smiled knowing that not only was the milk delicious, it was also good for them too.
Horizon milk boxes are packed full of the good stuff, so you can feel good about packing them in your child's school lunches. Unlike juice drinks loaded with sugar, Horizon milk boxes have 8 essential vitamins and minerals plus valuable DHA, but all your child will think is, "YUM!" Made to be shelf-stable these milk boxes are great because you'll know they won't spoil if you're child doesn't put the straw in right out of the fridge. The Booper and myself (I had to be sneaky and drink a box or two) loved these milk boxes. I would love to try the Low-fat Chocolate flavor for myself next. I love when organic products are as good if not better than their counterparts. Having a delicious and easy choice for school lunches is exactly what I look for in drink box product. Horizon wants to help you pack a healthy lunch for your child. Take a look at this printable "5 Lunch Needs and 50 Ways To Please" lunch packing guide.
