Introduction to Sew Simple Designs
Sew Simple Designs is a home-based business owned and operated by Rachel. She can sew a custom-fitted jean skirt out of a pair of jeans, and also hand crafts corsages and hairpieces.(I will be reviewing the corsages)
Every item is unique, some because she adds one-of-a-kind elements, and because they are all hand-made.
I have personally known Rachel since she was born. Our families have obviously been long-time friends. To say Rachel is a friend of mine of course is an understatement.(See Disclosure) Though I have not been compensated monetarily to do this review, I want to be up-front and honest about our friendship.I was given the corsages as a prize in one of the site's giveaways and I asked to do this review.

My Review
First thing I noticed when I received my package from Sew Simple Designs in the mail, beautiful pink paper with flowers. I love getting fun things in the mail, but especially when the package is so cute. I opened the tissue wrapped corsages to find they are all well intact and exactly as pictured in her site photos.
As for design, I have to say this navy and white "pom-pom" is my absolute favorite. The colors say I'm sophisticated while the design is fun and whimsical. Photos courtesy of Sew Simple Designs. ( I took some pictures of myself wearing this, it was so cute, but I wasn't happy with how I looked in the photo) I really like the idea of adding a headband to this one.
The second corsage I received was this hot pink and orange "spring fling" which turned out to be perfect for spring. I actually did wear this one in my hair. Just used some bobby pins and put it right by my looped up pony tail. I was surprised at how many things I own that match this one.
I like browns and shades of brown. The next corsage I picked will probably be the one I end up using the most.(The one I received was slightly larger than the one pictured here) With the larger design of this corsage, I found it to be the heaviest, so it needed pinned a little higher on my shirt to look right. As a mommy of a toddler the cool thing about this corsage is it can cover a multitude of stains! I'm constantly having little grubby fingers pull at my shirt, so this will actually be a fun way to cover those stains I can't get out.
Honestly I've never thought of myself as a corsage type of person, until now. I love that you can change up an outfit so easily. The headbands seem to be a great idea to me too. There are so many different colors and designs to choose from. If you want simple elegance, whimsical, sweet, spunky, or just plain beautiful corsages/headbands to complement your wardrobe Sew Simple Designs has them or will custom make them for you.
