Two at a time..please.

Scrapbooking double-time

Have you ever opened a scrapbook and noticed the only pages that stand alone are the first and the last page? That means that pretty much the whole scrapbook comes at the viewer two at a time. When planning out your pages you should take this into account, the pages laying side by side shouldn't clash. Coordination of pages may take a little extra time, but it's worth the effort. You can have two of the cutest, best designed pages, but if you put them in a scrapbook next to each other and they clash. Guess what people will notice?

Don't stress too much about your layouts they don't have to be identical to go together. Notice the picture above the two pages are not identical, but I used the same color scheme, and tied in the flowers on both pages. I used two different matting sizes for photo placement. The easiest way to tie two pages together is using the same background page for both pages.(as in the picture above) Get the look you are going for no matter what your style. By creating coordinated, eye pleasing pages, anyone will be able to appreciate your scrapbook.
Happy Scrapping!

  2. That's a really good tip. I started some art journaling, and it's similar to scrapbooking, but I have to think the same way--two at a time.
