Super Moms Inc. {Book Review and Giveaway}

Over this past weekend I was able to put my new tablet to good use and read a new book. Not only was it fun to just have the chance to read, but I was learning to use my tablet in new ways too. I couldn't wait to share my thoughts about this information packed book about great ways to work from home, Super Moms Inc. by author Carolyn Woods.
Be a super mom, earn money from home, learn about alternative ways to earn money, all without leaving my child behind? That all sounds great to me. I couldn't wait to crack open this book (or click open the file on my tablet that is) and get to reading and learning. Learn about the author, and read my thoughts on her book, then enter for a chance to win a copy for yourself.

My Review
 My husband and I made a choice before we ever had our son that I would stay home to raise our children. As time passes and the cost of living goes up, we are finding it harder to keep all of our necessities in budget. I catch myself daydreaming of what it would be like to earn an income to help with all of our family needs, and take some of the pressure off my husband. I haven't been looking for ways to accomplish those daydreams, but reading Super Moms Inc. has sparked my interest. What could I do to earn money from home? The author offers several suggestions of ways to find your niche, and how to get the ball rolling. I appreciated her honesty when laying out what she found didn't work for her, such as blogging. Yes, this part of her book made me laugh. When I first started blogging I had big dreams of the money rolling in by the bucket loads. Now I know that nothing comes that easy. Blogging is a lot of work with very little pay, and has a huge learning curve. At least for me. It takes time to build an audience and to start earning good money. Anyone who says you can get rich fast by blogging probably isn't a blogger.

I think most of us already have ideas in mind of how we would like to earn our living, and for many of us we already know our passion. The problem for most of us in my opinion is we need that little push from someone saying here are the steps to make your idea a reality. By reading about someone who has taken those steps, stumbled and fell, but got back up and became a success we can now have the vision of seeing ourselves doing the same.

My personal favorite chapter of this book was "Selling Information Online". In this chapter the author talks of how she writes, edits, markets, and sells her books. This seemed so useful to me since one of the things I've always dreamed of doing was writing a mystery novel. The fear of the unknown has always held me back since I never had a clue of  what to do if I did write a novel. The author laid out the steps on how to get started, in an easy to understand format. I'm sure there is much more to learn on the subject, but this book gives you a great starting point to take your first step towards your dreams of earning money from home. I enjoyed reading this book over the weekend. I breezed through each of the chapters, but I know this is a book I'll be keeping handy for all the great resources it contains.

Thanks for reading my review of Super Moms Inc.! ~Becky
