When it comes to being a mom to a very active three year old I seem to be caught in-between wanting him to be more independent and wishing he was still my baby boy. He started the "I'll do it myself!" phase a long time ago, but there are days when he really gets on an big boy kick. I love that he's going through this right of passage and the fact I know we will both make it out alive on the other side. It's fun to go through the stages with your pre-schooler when you keep in mind they're only little once. He's already been asking to learn to tie shoes because he wants to be just like daddy, but for now having shoes with easy closures makes life easier on all of us. The Booper loves these Moabb children's boots from Umishoes.com, because they have hook and loop closures that he can do himself.

These durable boots have stood the test of our wild child and held up great! With the dark navy and black design they really go with all his clothes keeping him looking stylish even at play or as I should say always at play. As you can see from the picture above the Booper doesn't sit still very long especially for pictures. The day I was planning to take his pictures turned out rainy so I took the shots in our living room. Speaking of rain, the great thing about these particular Umi shoes is they are water-resistant. When the Booper is looking for some attention he will ask for help with his shoes, but if he really wants to he can easily put these shoes on himself. He's been wearing these shoes for a few weeks now and they still look just as good as when we took them out of the box. The detailing of the leather and the black straps make the design really pop and it's the small studs on the strap ends give just a little extra style to set these shoes apart. This pair did have a narrow interior but the rounded toe gave the Booper's foot plenty of room. I found the Moabb boots to be true to size and a good fit for a child with average foot width. A great casual style for independent kids on the go!
