If you're looking for some end of Summer fun then look no further! Our family Labor Day celebrations reached new heights this year with two awesome flying toys from Zing. Having some help from my niece and nephew we couldn't wait to tear into the package of Zing toys. First we opened the Sky Gliderz because I couldn't wait to try them myself. I'm a big kid at heart and toys are my favorite for review. I'll admit I had the first go at shooting off the red glider and would you believe it went so high that on it's way down it landed in a tree?
Luckily since we were all at my parent's house my dad came out and helped get the glider out of the tree. He was impressed it had went that high, and when we told him it actually was circling down when it was caught in the tree he wanted to see them in action too. With a sling-shot type handle the glider whips up into the sky which is awesome, but the really fun part is the sound it makes. The Sky Gliderz have a small plastic bracket that gives off a squealing sound grabbing everyone's attention including some nearby birds. It was hilarious as we played with the toys some birds started swooping around to check out the gliderz like they wondered what type of bird was in their neighborhood. Made of soft foam, the Sky Gliderz are my favorite toy from Zing so far. I went on to get the red glider caught on my parent's rooftop and their garage. Thankfully, my dad is a good sport and left his ladder out and non-begrudgingly rescued the glider each time it landed out of reach. Designed for children ages 8 and older and retailing for only $15 Sky Gliderz are easy for me to recommend. Helpful tip: Be sure to buy more than one set because after seeing them fly everyone will want to get their hands on one!
Look up. It's a bird, it's a plane. No, it's the X6 Zoom Rocketz from Zing! Cause and effect have never been so fun. The X6 Zoom Rocketz were easy to set up and a blast to play with. Included were six foam-tipped rocketz that could really fly when the right person gave the launcher a good stomp. I'm not a good judge of distance but I was amazed by how high these would go. The Booper wasn't quite big enough to get them to really fly so the recommended age of 8 and up would be about right. My niece is 11 and easily sent the rocketz flying she was also able to do the rapid fire and shoot off all 6 rocketz (this is awesome because more than one rocket is in the air at a time). Retailing for just $30 I think this is a great neutral toy for kids over 8 years old.
I would recommend both of these fun toys from Zing, but my favorite would have to be the Sky Gliderz simply because they really fly. Plus as an added bonus there's an element of anticipation and dread of where the gliderz might land! That made the Sky Gliderz a real crowd pleaser at our house. The X6 Zoom Rocketz are better for playing in town or around buildings as they fly straight up so you don't need such a large radius of play area.
