Welcome to the sixth annual Black Friday Book Bonanza Giveaway Hop!
Hosted by hosted by Marlene at Reading Reality and Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer
Do you love to read? Enjoy reading with your children? Then you're in luck! This event offers readers the chance to hop around and enter lots of great book themed giveaways over the holiday weekend! Check out some new titles from National Geographic Kids and enter the all the giveaways on the hop below!

The Book of Heroines and The Book of Heroes - All kids are heroes in waiting and these two titles are sure to inspire.
In The Book of Heroines it's all about Girl Power!  Looking for a leading lady? How about more than 100 of them?  True stories of superstars, war heroes, world leaders, ladies in lab coats ad everyday people who all have two things in common -- they were girls and they changed the world.  From Michelle Obama, Jane Goodall and Wonder Woman to Susan B. Anthony, Gloria Steinem and Katie Ledecky, The Book of Heroines not only highlights how girls are just as tough as boys, but also challenges the reader to be a heroine herself and provides tips on how to unleash her inner heroine.
The Book of Heroes highlights 100 guys who had the boldness, bravery and brains to meet the challenges of their day. Featuring a very diverse array of amazing minds, heroes from history, sports stars and even action heroes -- like Abraham Lincoln, Mark Zuckerberg, Stephen Hawking and Steve Irwin  -- boys will be sure to find more than just a few role models in the pages of this book and also perhaps inspire them that they, too, are capable of extraordinary things.

  4. Hero past or present would be Jane Addams who founded Hull House in Chicago IL. It was the first settlement house in the country. She was also an activist in WWI and promoted women's education in nursing, social work and civil service. She won a Nobel Peace prize in 1931. I wrote a term paper about her in my college classes for my degree in social work :)

  10. I always have a hard time choosing a 'hero' when asked. I didn't have any role models in my life growing up and spent the majority of my life immersed in books. For that reason, I'm going to choose J.K. Rowling as my hero because her books changed my life.
