Whatever your heirloom, I suggest adding it to your scrapbook. The picture above is a quilt given to me by my grandmother. My great-grandmother did the blocks, and sometime after she passed away my grandmother found them. She pieced them together and quilted them. After my husband, and I were married, she gave us the quilt as a gift. The scrapbook page was my way of recording the dates and times of when this was made, and my feelings on receiving it from my grandmother. This is just a simple scrapbook page, there are no cute smiles to shine out to the viewer, but the smiles it holds are my own.
My family heirloom turned to scrap, and I love it! ~Happy Scrapping!
This made me smile as well!(And get a little teary eyed.) What a treasure you have in that quilt.
ReplyDeleteI do love it, and it's so comfy too!
DeleteI have always wanted to make a scrap book, but have never done it.. I need to get on the ball! Thanks for the tip. And that quilt is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Amber, scrapbooking is very relaxing to me. I do it in small bursts when I have the time. If your a newbie, I would start with a scrapbook kit. They help take out most of the guess work.
DeleteIt's great to have something to remember her by. I used to do all that stuff for my babies when they were born.
