There is something magical about all things Christmas and The Cat in the Hat has some magic of his own. Put the two together and you've got an explosion of whimsical bliss.
Nick and Sally are ready to party with the Cat and his friends, and all is fun and games until they realize one little reindeer has got off at the wrong home. They have to work together and put others feelings before their own to help Ralph find his way back. With each problem that comes, I watched the Booper eyes wide with wonder as Nick and Sally work together to get the Thing-a-ma-jig back up and running.
I enjoyed watching the Booper's smile each time as Thing1 and Thing2 would pop up with the Christmas tree and ornaments ready to party. With a running time of approximately 60 minutes this movie kept the Booper's attention the whole time. Learning a little about different animals along the way, he was thrilled by the Cat in the Hat the most.

Growing up loving Dr. Sues I've read many books to the Booper, but it was so much fun to watch this movie together. Before watching this dvd I wasn't much in the mood for Christmas, but now the excitement is in the air. I'm even starting to catch myself talking in rhymes!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite Holiday Tradition is on Christmas Eve Eve (December 23) I make a "Christmas Dinner" for my husband, son and I of ham, potatoes, corn and pie. After we finish that up, we put on our Christmas jammies and load into the car to drive around looking at all of the Christmas lights. When we get home we make some homemade hot chocolate and drink that while we eat our Christmas cut out cookies and watch a Christmas movie - Polar Express or something of the like. It's my favorite night of the year!
