BEJEWELED {Hasbro review and giveaway}

By now you know that I'm still a kid at heart. I love games and another thing I never grew out of was loving sparkly things. Put those two together and you have BEJEWELED it's no wonder I'm a recovering addict of the jewel swapping online game BEJEWELED from PopCap. Now Hasbro has made it even easier and more fun to get the Jewel switching action I crave. This new board game has all fun of the online game only with the option to play with your friends LIVE! Made for 2-4 players ages 8 years and older my husband and I had a good time playing each other. It really irked my competitive side that he kept winning, but it was still fun to play. The Booper loved watching and he thought the game pieces were fun to play with.

This Game Features a white plastic Game Tray, 84 Gems, 7 Power Gems, 70 Scoring Coins, Bag, and Instructions. The Booper loved helping us set up the game tray with the gems and helping put the remaining gems in the bag for game play. Set up is easy and getting started is fairly simple if you've ever played BEJEWELED online you will know the basics. Switch out adjacent gems to match up 3, 4 or 5 gems in a row and you score coins. Pull the gems you've matched from the game tray and put them in the extra bag, slide the gems forward and add in new gems. It took my husband and I a while to finish a round since we kept scoring coins of the same color and the object of the game is to get 3 coins in 3 color sets. Fun for our family I think this is a game older children like my niece would really enjoy as well. My only improvement suggestion would be a case to keep everything together. We have it all stored in the box, but a closing case would be awesome. On or off the computer BEJEWELED is a sparkly good time!
