Meet the new Grilled Tilapia from Gorton's! It's funny how as you get older your taste buds really change, I never used to like fish, but now I seem to crave it. Perhaps I just didn't know what I liked or just didn't know how to prepare it, but I'm discovering I love seafood. I was challenged by Gorton's to make a recipe using one of their new grilled products and I chose to use Tilapia.
I looked through some of the inspiring seafood recipe cards that were included in my review kit and I chose to try this Grilled Filet Pear Salad. It's strange because I love pears but I hardly ever purchase them at the store. This dish helped me branch out of my foodie comfort zone and explore some new flavor combinations. I followed Gorton's recipe holding back on the onion and goat cheese since my husband doesn't always like onion on salads and we didn't have goat cheese. Subbing in the Signature Grilled Tilapia for the Garlic Butter. I really enjoyed the soft sweet crunch of pear mixed with the warmth from the signature blend of spices on the fish. Cranberries are one of my favorite salad toppings so of course I loved them too. A fresh spin on boring salads this beautiful seafood dish is definitely something my husband and I will eat again!
These delicious Gorton's Grilled varieties are available in, Tilapia,Wild-Caught Alaskan Pollock , Haddock, and Salmon plus all are Gluten Free. If you're looking to try something new and take a step out of your foodie comfort zone, be sure to grab your Gorton's coupon and save $1 on your next purchase!

ReplyDeleteWe have eaten Gorton's Fish products for years! My kids grew up on them and so are our grandkids. I didn't realize that there were so many ways you can serve fins!
