It's time to pull out your dictionaries and put your thinking caps on! Hasbro has added more ways to play their classic word game Scrabble! Now including Power Tiles your family is going to enjoy plotting new strategies of play with this family favorite. Read on to learn more about the new game play and the National School Scrabble Championship.
Scrabble is still just as much fun as ever and I was excited to receive this game for review. My husband and I have had time to play, and it was no holds barred. Neither of us were saving the triple word score for the other-we play to win! With the new Power Tiles you can save those high scoring spots for yourself. It's like reserved parking for your next word. These new game tiles can really make things interesting or annoying depending on which side you fall. The Booper was so excited to join in the fun, so we let him hold the letter bag and drawl out letters for us as we needed them. This proved to make the game slightly more exciting since he decided some of the letters were his, and didn't want to give up his stack of vowels.
It's Back! Time for students from grades fourth through eighth to register for the School Scrabble Championship! On April 26-27, 2014 teams from the US and Canada will meet up to compete through eight rounds of competition. The first prize winner will receive $10,000! If your school has a team that would like to join please visit School Scrabble for more information. If you're looking to just get something started in your school learn more about the School Scrabble Program.
