This post was developed in partnership with Similac. All opinions are my own.
As a second time mom, I'm still amazed at how different Little Miss is from her brother. I figured having some experience under my belt at this whole "parenting" gig the second time around would be a breeze. If our Sassy Pants toddler has taught me anything it's that she is her own individual with her very own way of doing everything, including meal time. From the beginning, she has been a happy eater so getting her to eat has never been the problem. Having fast, nutritious options for her little hands is the key.
It seems like as soon as she started to put a few words together I could make out her saying, "I do it!" at meal time. She has been all about doing everything for herself these days. She eats really well, but she picks and chooses which items she wants on her plate, which means sometimes the veggies are left behind. We've found a way to keep us all smiling during meals at home or on the go.
The New Go & Grow by Similac feature delicious fruit and vegetable purees that our toddler loves. The easy grab and go design helps us to know she's getting her daily servings of fruits and veggies when we're away from home. Between tutoring, swim lessons, park play dates, summer reading programs and running errands our lunches are often away from home. I like to keep a few Go & Grow by Similac food pouches in my diaper bag for those times when we don't make it home for lunch. She just loves to eat them, all by herself of course.
Go & Grow by Similac Pouches are the only toddler fruit and veggie puree pouches with OptiGRO, our brain- and an eye-nourishing blend of DHA, Lutein, and Vitamin E in forms similar to common foods.- DHA- like that found in fish, for toddler’s developing brain
- Lutein- like that found in spinach, for eye health
- Vitamin E- like that found in broccoli, for growth and development
While she's busy discovering the world around her by jumping into puddles, smelling the flowers and stepping over the cracks in the sidewalk, I feel confident the gaps in her diet are being met by the food pouch she's enjoying while on her own little picnic. Her favorite flavor to grab is the Mango, Sweet Potato, and Pear puree, she seems to point to that flavor too. Not sure if she remembers the color or recognizes the picture, but it's funny how with everything now this girl knows exactly what she wants.
Toddlers are great, aren't they? What are your toddler's favorite fruits or veggies?
These pouches look like a good choice for when my 1 year old grandson visits. We often take him for a stroll to the park so this would be easy and nutritious.
