Have you ever reached for a baked good, only to realize it's more process than quality content? Any of the leading brand snack cakes, desserts or even most types of bread are filled with preservatives that are meant to keep the items fresh as long as possible on the shelf and in your home. They are not meant to help with the quality or taste of the product. Since I have been introduced to Bakerly, I have become completely spoiled by what baked goods can be. Even though each item they bake is simple in ingredients, the taste and quality say otherwise.
Bakerly ensures that all products are completely free of preservatives, artificial coloring, artificial flavoring, zero high fructose corn syrup and zero trans fat. With obvious French inspiration, from two Bretons (from Brittany, in the North West of France), you know you are in for a treat.
They have created two lines of product. A family line, which includes sliced and hand-braided brioche, baguettes, buns and brioche rolls (including one with chocolate chips!). And a delicious snack line; with individually packaged crepes, chocolate croissants, mini brioches and three flavors of filled sponge cake.
My family got to sample a huge sample of the Bakerly line. To be fair, I just "had" to personally test each product sent. I had to nearly fight my family to stop eating to snap a few pictures. After we came down from our carb overload, we immediately searched for where we could get our next Bakerly fix. Our family favorites have been the chocolate brioche, strawberry crepes, and the sliced brioche!
Have no fear, you don't have to travel to France for these delicacies. They are rolling out to more and more retailers nationwide. In my region, they can be found in Acme, Buehler's and Whole Food grocery stores. Which Bakerly products would you like to try?
Looks yummy. Strawberry crepes sound delightful.
ReplyDeleteI've not been able to try any of Bakerly products yet, but they really look delicious and I'm so glad there're no additives and trans fat! I'd probably try the caramel filled crepes, I absolutely love them!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that they are preservative free and delicious!! Not something you find often in prepackaged foods!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed Your article and the pictures! I can imagine the fun 'carb overload'
ReplyDeleteThese look amazing. We actually have a french bakery in our little upstate NY area. The croissants are amazing but we are rural and it is not feasible to go to the bakery very often as it is over 20 miles away. The croissants look amazing in the picture, I am going to have to give them a try.
ReplyDeleteI'd really like to try the crepes.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try their sliced brioche.
ReplyDeleteHolly Bakerly, those looks so delicious!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. I like going to the bakery and taste testing different things.
