Some Like It Popped! Gary Poppins Popcorn Review

Summer break hasn't held much of a break for us this year. We have several major things going on in our family; we're house-hunting, we're renovating our current home, we've taken 4 trips so far, and I'm purging our house for a down-size. Being a child of the 80's I still do thing old-school and can't give up my pen and paper. I love having notebooks in my purse and I jot things down while I'm on the phone because if I don't I WILL forget! I've been engrossed in all of this planning and the constant movement of contractors and phone calls I have to grab my snacks on the go. We received The Best Of Gary Poppins Popcorn Variety 10-Pack conveniently packed in small bags ready to be opened and enjoyed (while I was waiting on-hold) or anytime! 

Gary Poppins Popcorn is handcrafted in small batches right here in the USA and packed fresh from the popper to be shipped. I could taste the freshness and really enjoyed trying each of the flavors included in the variety pack. Unfortunately, I couldn't keep my family from noticing the colorful bags of popcorn and I had to share. We each found our own favorite flavor so now we know what to order next. 

Time for some serious snacking. When I really want to spark my creative side I like to pull out my serious notebook and for some serious snacking I pulled out the White Cheddar Jalapeno popcorn. This batch of handcrafted popcorn had some serious kick! My husband and I both really liked this flavor I let him try a bite or two then I kept the bowl to myself. He's the one that likes to kick up the spices and pour on the hot sauce so I laughed at him when he reached for his water bottle. 

Don't mess with a classic. The Classic Cheddar flavor was loved by our whole family especially our kids. Both the Booper and Sassy Girl crave all things Cheese and this batch was a cheese lover's dream come true. Which reminds me of the delightfully crunchy Classic Caramel flavor. One of my favorites from when I was a kid. My mom used to make homemade caramel and drizzle over our freshly popped popcorn when we were bored with regular popcorn. Using sweet creamery butter and brown sugar the fine folks at Gary Poppins Popcorn have made this classic anything but boring! 

Double-up on delicious! When it's time to unwind from all our planning, phone calls and list-making I like to kick back and watch a good movie with some popcorn. Gary Poppins Popcorn is popped and ready to eat so there's no waiting for entertainment just open the bag and push play. Indulgent is the word I would use to describe the Caramel Cheddar Kettle flavor. It's like the power-house of popcorn giving you all your favorite flavors in one bag. Each bite offers a new mix of sweet and salty making it a crowd pleaser. 

Creamery Butter. This flavor actually surprised me the most. I fully expected to have a hand full of greasy butter after grabbing a bite, however, it was light and not greasy at all. The creamy butter flavor was there without the need to wash your hands between each bite. My daughter confiscated this bag from me so sadly I only took two bites before she said, "thanks mom" as if I had opened the bag just for her. 

Kettle Corn. The Booper took over the bag of this flavor and let me know it was, "the best." in his opinion. I dare not try to reach towards his bag as he's a ferocious snack machine. At 8-years-old his stomach seems to be a bottomless pit this summer. It was nice to see him snack on a bag of Gary Poppins popcorn knowing it's made with whole grain, non-GMO corn. 

I do like it popped, especially when it's popped by Gary Poppins! My family really enjoyed the flavors in The Best Of Gary Poppins Variety Pack, but next time I would like to try some of their other batches like the Coffee, Cinnamon, Kettle. I've never had coffee flavored popcorn before!
