Not going to give mommy a smile, no matter what! Look at that determination. |
The beginning of this school year was rough for our little miss. At almost 3-years-old she thinks she's the big girl. The first few days of school as we dropped her brother off in front of the building there were a lot of tears as she cried to go to school with the other kids. I kept telling her she could go to school when she gets bigger, then we received the Teach My Preschooler Kit and we started to have "school time" at home. She was so excited to open the kit and do her school work.
With her big brother being in school we get lots of mommy and me time together, but now we can take 20 minutes a day to learn new things. She likes to use the hands-on materials to play teacher and "teach" me the things she knows. It's a great way for her to feel in charge and still be reinforcing the things she's learning. I love that this Deluxe Preschool Learning Kit comes in a very nice case with a handle for easy storage and travel. We like to sit on our kitchen floor together but occasionally we will sit on my bed or her bedroom floor. Teach My recommends being in an open place free of distractions so we avoid her typical play spots.
Once the stage is set for learning it's easy to get going with the included teaching guide. I would suggest reading the guide and pulling everything out before showing your child so you can get familiar with the program. Our little miss loves the foam numbers that were included with this kit. I've had to track them all down as she snatched them out and was playing with them in her bedroom one day. Our son was really interested in what was inside her kit so I let him pull out a few things and they played "school" together. The great thing about this kit is that you can tailor it to fit the needs of your child's learning level. Before receiving this kit I wondered how much she would gain from a preschool program. She already knows her letters and numbers, but this program moves past just letter and number recognition to really help their overall kindergarten readiness. I feel confident that by the time we finish this program she's going to have a great start in school. In the meantime, she's having a great time learning and we've established that "school time" is a fun time!
Prepare your little ones for school with an award-winning all-in-one learning kits for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. No need to spend hundreds of dollars going to several stores buying individual teaching tools, each Teach My kit includes everything necessary for learning the basics, all in a portable and storable case. Teach My was founded in 2007 by Mompreneur, Christy Cook. Realizing that parents are the most important teachers, Christy scoured educational supply stores to find learning activities to educate her 18-month old son, Finn. Not finding an all-in-one kit, Christy aimed to make it easier and less expensive for parents, so she created Teach My Toddler, the award-winning first and only all-in-one learning kit for toddlers. She went on to create a Teach My Baby, Teach My Preschooler, Teach My Kindergartener and recently released the Teach My Yoga Mat sets.

ReplyDeleteThis kit really sounds good. I can reemember that in pre-school you learned your numbers and all that stuff. Today your child needs to know their name and phone number, and so much more. My great niece is almost 2 and her dad works with her ever day on her numbers.
