Sweet Summer Reading With Awesome Achievers In Technology By Alan Katz

I received the title mentioned below in exchange for sharing my thoughts. All views and opinions are my own. The sponsor is responsible for prize fulfillment.
We're finishing off our summer break with some great reads. The Booper is fascinated by so many subjects so we've been reading about so many different topics. Just like his dad, the Booper loves learning facts about his favorite subjects and the rare-known facts are his golden nuggets. Like treasures he's discovered he can't wait to share some new fact he's read in a book. I love when he comes to me to ask, "Hey Mom, did you know.....?" When he shares a new nugget of information with me it's always the start of a meaningful conversation! If your child is always on the hunt for elusive knowledge to share then they're going to love the Awesome Achievers books. A fun book that will introduce your child to interesting people that were almost famous!

About Awesome Achievers
From acclaimed author Alan Katz comes a new middle-grade nonfiction series designed to make history fun and vibrant for reluctant readers. Awesome Achievers kicks off this August with Awesome Achievers in Technology and Awesome Achievers in Science by Alan Katz and illustrated by Chris Judge. With Katz' signature humor and extras such as illustrations, imagined diary entries for a first-person perspective, comics, poems, and personal anecdotes like the time Katz met Dr. Heimlich himself, each title brings 12 lesser-known figures to life like you've never seen them before.

Everyone has heard the name Steve Jobs, but what about Nolan Bushnell--Jobs's boss before the invention of Apple, and the founder of the first major video game, Pong? Many of the most relevant figures in tech history have remained in the shadows, but not any longer! From Alan Katz's new Awesome Achievers series, Awesome Achievers in Technology gives kids a look behind the scenes at 12 lesser-known inventors whose contributions to tech are personally relevant to their lives today. Each figure is given a traditional biography but is also subject to Katz's unique brand of silliness, with humorous elements such as imagined poems, song lyrics, and diary entries by and about the not-so-famous figure accompanying each bio.
