If you're like me then you might not appreciate all the creepy ghoulish events of Halloween, but you enjoy the bright pumpkins and fall festivities. Even still I enjoy curling up with a good book or suspense novel that I just can't put down! We've left our hammock out and it's so nice to swing back and forth while reading and feel the warm fall breeze (I'm still hoping it cools down here!)

For the kids, Halloween is all about the costumes and candy! Our neighborhood fills with families at Halloween as our block is known for giving out the good candy, plus one of our neighbors does an annual party open to the public where they grill hotdogs for everyone! It's a wonderful way to meet our neighbors and members of the community. With all the extra traffic we have to caution our kids to pay extra attention when crossing the streets. It's also a good idea to have reflective tape or a flashing light on their costumes and caution signs to warn drivers that kids will be out and about.
