Spring Calls For Indoor And Outdoor Play!

Take aim and prepare for fun! Spring in the Midwest is waking up and playing the game of what season are we going to have today? We go from gorgeous sunshine and upper 70's one day to raining and lower 40's the next. We received the toys mentioned here along with compensation in exchange for this post. This Laser X Revolution Two-Player Long Range Laser Tag Gaming Blaster Set is one of several Laser X sets we now own and my kids were super excited for the new features on these blasters. The large size of these blasters not only feels great but it gives players a nice target too. It took us a little while to find a small enough screwdriver to load in the required batteries, but once we were set it was fun on the run! The great thing about the Laser X Revolution set is you don't need any other equipment to play so they're easily packable for camping or taking to a friend's house. The receiver is on the front of the blasters so if everyone is a good sport it's easy to hit your target. The receiver is sensitive enough that shots don't have to be super accurate to score a hit, leveling the playing field for younger players and wild action shots. The trigger action is light and the sound effects are lots of fun since you can hold down the trigger for continued laser blasting noises. When turned on, the unit gives off a beeping sound to help the other player find your location so it's great encouragement to keep moving. Rain or shine these work well indoors and out. My kids have just discovered how to bounce the shot off of our mirrors so they're playing inside more. Just like any other sport you have to instruct your kids on safe play and everyone will have a blast! Our youngest is 6 and can easily use this and learned how to reset the blaster after being hit 8 times without any trouble. If you really want a great time, grab a few sets and play as a family. My dad (kids' grandpa) loves when we bring these over to their house.

We received this SpyBots Room Guardian and both of the kids thought they needed this on their bedroom door but the tween won since he just had his birthday. First off. This is for parents that are willing to humor their kids and don't mind loud noises. I'm pretty laid back so I thought this was a fun idea. The packaging is clever and the included quick start instructions couldn't be more clear. It comes with a peel and stick door hanger so there's no need to put a screw or nail into your door.  Be sure to hang it where your child can easily reach it! My son is taller than I am so no issues there. Only one tab is needed to hang so there was no leveling involved, thankfully. Your child needs to be old enough to remember a 4 digit passcode to use this. If for whatever reason they forget you simply pull it off the door and turn it off and back on to reset the code. It's simple to set up, loud, fun for the child using it, and great for keeping younger siblings out when needed. Our tween loves this, the younger sister...not so much.

For some outdoor play time we were excited to try out the All-Pro Passer. After getting your batteries installed. the important step is inserting the air pump properly! At first I thought it didn't work because we couldn't get any air pressure built up, but then we reread the directions and realized the pump wasn't installed right. After getting the pump in correctly we had a lot of fun playing. Because of human pumping differences the ball doesn't always go the same distance even with the same setting. It sort of makes sense though that you'll need to watch where the ball actually goes to catch it. My kids had a lot of fun playing with this together. This does take a special foam ball (smaller than a regular football) to work. I wish it came with an extra ball to keep play moving along. The All-Pro Passer is perfect for getting kids off the sideline and into the play!
