God. Family. Football. follows the ex-football player and high school football coach Denny Duron as he returns to once again coach the Louisiana-based team that he once led. Duron has been retired for 30 years but decides to return to Evangel Christian Academy in Shreveport, La. after the one-time high school football powerhouse fell on rough times. Once home to 14 state championships in the last 20 years, the team is now coming off its worst season in school history. The series focuses on the 2022 high school football season as Evangel Christian Academy which has sent more football players to the NFL and NCAA Division 1 college football programs than any other high school in the state — looks to rebuild.

I loved following the real lives of these high school football players and their families. Of course, this is about a football team, but there's so much more as you get an inside look at the player's lives. Executive producer NFL quarterback Russel Wilson had the right idea with this docu-series. There's conflict, friendships, silliness, hometown pride, great sportsmanship, and so much more. I enjoyed watching several of the kids especially "Toad" and his mom's relationship. I enjoyed hearing the fundamentals being taught by their coach Denny Duron along with the rest of the coaching staff. It's not just about having a winning football team, it's about helping boys grow into Godly young men. There's so much to enjoy about this series that it will leave you begging for more episodes. You'll find yourself cheering for the Eagles but also for each player's life-long success. At least that's how I felt. The great part is that you can stream all the episodes for free.
