This time of year is a great time for a lot of kids to start thinking of what character or costume they would like to dress up in. It's no secret all kids love to have costumes or dress up clothes year round, but for Halloween everything comes out in stores and parents start shopping online. This is the first year the Booper has had a costume, and when looking through all the cool choices of Costumes on HalloweenCostumes.com. I found the Thomas the Tank Engine costume to be an easy decision for him. I let him look with me before deciding and he liked a dinosaur costume, but when he seen this one, he squealed Thomas!!!... over and over.
When his costume arrived I pulled it out of the outer packaging and his eyes were big with anticipation. I turned the costume package around so he could see the front and he started jumping up and down to try it on. This train overlay costume couldn't be simpler you just pull it over your child's head and tie the cords at the back of the collar. The sizing is for children 4-6 years old, so it is just slightly long for the Booper. I thought that sizing would work well though, since I can see him enjoying wearing this for a long time. It came with a small Engineer hat that has the logo, " Thomas and Friends". Either the Booper's head is really big, or this hat is kind of small. Mr. Booper is only 2 and 1/2 and this was really tight on his head, so if your child is 4-6 I would think it would be a tight squeeze though it does have some stretch to it.
I like this type of costume, because you can dress your child appropiately for the weather, and they will have plenty of room. I also love that it's easy to put on and take off. The Booper wore the hat around even without the rest of his costume. (a surprise to me, since he normally won't wear hats)
For his first time having a costume, he loves it. Simple.Easy.Fun.
