And then there were none...
It all started in a cooler filled with delightful boxes of Belgian chocolates and one by one these mysteriously delicious chocolates started to disappear. Of course there were many of us who had our part to play in this scrumptious performance starting with the chocolatiers at Guylian. Mixing their romance with their love for making chocolates Guy and Liliane were the geniuses to create these tricky masterpieces of chocolate. Shaped like whimsical seashells and seahorses the chocolates were like nothing my family had ever seen, but that was short lived. Luckily I took pictures or you might not believe this story at all. These magical chocolates were gone in a flash.
There's always been mystery surrounding seahorses and that mystery lends itself to chocolates shaped as seahorses as well. When my family opened the packages of Guylian chocolates we were in awe of the detail given to the look of these treats. Then as I sunk my teeth into that first bite of the seashell shaped truffle I realized the Hazelnut cream filling was just as inspiring. The crisp outer layer of chocolate gave way to soft decadent cream delighting my sense of taste. Did my eyes deceive me? I thought there were sixteen chocolates in the box, but when I looked down there were only ten then nine..oh my. Guylian chocolates are delicious, but they're also tricky too. They disappear so fast you won't believe your eyes, but you'll want to keep believing how good they taste!
Be sure to follow Guylian on Facebook and Twitter for the latest news on additions to their disappearing act.

ReplyDeleteI think sometimes chocolate just gets up and walks...or swims, in the seahorse case, away. In my house, this happens to cookie dough, too. I swear I made enough for 12 cookies but when I get ready to bake them there's only enough dough for six. :) Good chocolate and sweets just have this trouble. Glad these were so enjoyable. You may need to buy two...or three boxes this year.
