Stovetop to Tabletop In Minutes: Idahoan Review and Giveaway

I participated in this event on behalf of Wendy's Bloggers for Idahoan Foods. I received Idahoan products to facilitate my review.

In the season of being very busy our family still tries to make time for gathering around the table for a sit-down meal. With my husband working lots of overtime and the Booper having after-school programs, I've got to keep my meal planning simple. For being a very picky eater the Booper loves potatoes! Potatoes are delicious and filling, but such a pain to wash and peel. Thankfully, Idahoan offers easy solutions to add potatoes to the menu.
About Idahoan
"Homemade taste in minutes."
Idahoan is properly named for a company created by growers in Idaho over 50 years ago. As they like to say, "From field to fork," Idahoan uses only potatoes from Idaho in all of their products. With a focus on simple meal options for families, they pride themselves on quality. Idohoan also likes to say that they're "In the business of making lives easier."
I'm not the most inventive cook, but I can follow directions like nobody's business! Idahoan potato sides are very simple to prepare and cook fast. If you have time to boil water you've got time for Idahoan mashed potatoes. For our meal pictured below I used the Herbed Buttery Mashed recipe from the Idahoan potato recipe collection on their site. I did substitute one cup of milk for the water to make an even creamier mash. If you find you've made your potatoes too far in advance of the rest of your meal (since they cook so fast), stir in a tablespoon of butter or milk to moisten before serving.
These are a favorite in our house, so I usually prepare two packages at once. We like to have left overs to pack for the next day's lunches. Idahoan flavored mashed potatoes come in a variety of flavors from the classic Buttery Homestyle and the Baby Reds to the Roasted Garlic and Parmesan which happens to be my favorite! I love that Idahoan can store in our pantry so much longer than a bag of potatoes will. Making delicious meals a cinch in a pinch, makes me and my family very happy. However you say it, potato or potahto, I say the growers of Idahoan really know their spuds.
Be sure to follow Idahoan on Facebook and join the potato talk with other spud lovers!
