The Mommy Island: Celebrating 3 Years With Heartfelt Thanks

Hi, in case you don't know me, my name is Becky. I'm the creator of this fun site for moms, caregivers and the young at heart. Though if I'm truly honest, I created this blog for myself. Three years ago while chatting with a friend about visiting some of our favorite blogs, the seed was planted in my mind to start my own. I jumped into the blogging world with both feet, and I've never looked back!
There are so many things I would like to mention in this post, but first I want to thank my family for giving me the space and time to put into my blog(though at times begrudgingly). My husband and son have helped me with reviews, praised my genius when receiving something cool and helped bring me back down to earth as needed. I'm one of the lucky ones who discovered my own tribe to help keep me going, to listen to my doubts, fears, brags and venting...lots and lots of venting! Thanks Amanda (The Kids Did It) for picking me out of all the crazies to be your friend and blogging partner, and thanks to my sister Amanda (Coupons and Lesson Plans) for listening to blog talk when the rest of our family had no clue. To each blogger in all the facebook groups who have helped through threads and private messages,  you all help to bring the feeling of sister-hood to the blogging world!

    I am obsessed with their foaming hand soaps. Black cherry merlot is my favorite, it smells just like the old cherry suckers.

    I'd definitely buy candles! The French Baguette candle they did a few years ago was my all time favorite scent, but Merry Cookie and Leaves get a lot of use at my house, too!

    My newest favorite scent is Christmas Cookie. There are so many wonderful scents to choose from. I tend to like seasonal scents. In the summer, I will prefer something fruity or coconut and in the fall something like pumpkin spice.
