A Special Mother's Day #AmazingHood Giveaway

With Mother's day just around the corner my mind keeps flashing back to the first moment I realized I was going to be a mom. All the joy, fear and excitement made me a huge ball of emotions that can't really be described as just one thing. Those feelings have never really stopped through each stage of the Booper's infanthood, toddlerhood and now as a preschooler soon to be kindergartner I still feel like there's nothing like being a mom. Last month I was feeling particularly yucky, and as I was cooking dinner the smell was overwhelming and made me want to gag. That's when I began to wonder....could I be pregnant? When you struggle with infertility you never want to have thoughts of being pregnant, so I blocked out the thought...but I couldn't for long. Soon I was feeling nausea all the time, so I broke down and bought the tests.
The first test had an error. I wanted to throw that stick at the wall, I was furious! It said to wait until the next morning to try a new test, I couldn't wait that long. I waited a few hours and grabbed a different brand of test and tried again. Two seconds later and the plus sign was there as plain as day. I burst out crying and laughing too. It made perfect sense, but I couldn't wrap my head around getting to have two kids. I feel like the luckiest woman in the world to get to start this fun journey again with another precious baby coming in October!
With the Booper being five years old so many things have changed since he was a baby. I find myself looking at baby products and feeling out of the loop. There are so many new and amazing products for parents, but I've found one thing has stayed the same and that's Dreft. Dreft was my choice when the Booper was a baby, and now with our new sweet pea I'll be using the brand I trust. I can't wait to find out if we're having a boy or a girl so I can start washing up baby clothes with Dreft so I can breathe in that sweet baby smell.
Dreft is making it even easier to get your baby's clothes and blankets clean as they grow and to keep that long lasting scent you love.
  • Dreft Newborn (Stage One): Expectant and new parents can wash their little one's fabrics with Dreft’s same beloved hypoallergenic formula, designed to be tough on stains and gentle on baby’s skin with the beloved Dreft baby scent.
  • NEW Dreft Active Baby (Stage Two): Specially designed with a growing, developing baby in mind, NEW Dreft Active Baby helps to remove 99% of baby food stains and other outdoor messes with a gentle, hypoallergenic formula and fresh scent.
  • NEW Dreft Blissfuls (Stage Three): NEW Dreft Blissfuls in-wash scent boosters gives families the baby fresh scent they love. Safe on all fabrics, these beads help bring back that nostalgic, amazing baby scent (and all those memories) with every wash.

    1. Thank you, Kathryn. I'm glad to finally put a stop to everyone questioning when we'll have another! When you struggle with infertility and have one child it seems people don't understand. Definitely feel blessed that we were able to have one, and now I'm in shock we're having another. :) Wish you all the best with your family!
