Going Green with the Grizls

June 11- Best day of your life.

As I think back over my life, there have been so many great days, so the best day is relative to when you would be asking me. When I was 6 years old, I couldn't wait to turn 7. I remember thinking being 7 must be the perfect age. On my seventh birthday I received a doll I had been asking my parents and any and every family member for(and anyone who would listen actually) for over a year. When I opened that gift with my doll inside, I was thrilled. If you had asked me then, I would have said, my seventh birthday, was the best day of my life!

Time passed, I got older. I was in highschool, hanging out with my friends was all I cared about. I went with a group of friends to an amusement park and had an amazing time. That day, best day of my life.

After highschool, I was able to go on a mission trip with my church to Mexico. I had been longing to travel, and be able to say I had been to another country. Hoping to do great things in Mexico with our group. We were up on a mountain top one evening on our trip, we had just stepped out of the quaint little home owned by the pastor of the church we were visiting. After having a wonderful service, my mood was peaceful and happy. Looking out over Mexico City, fireworks started shooting into the sky and exploding, being set off from somewhere down below. It was a glorious sight and experience. Best day of my life.

I met my husband to be, and we went hiking on a date of sorts. We had a great time, I was so happy to meet someone who I could be myself around. Being with him felt like being home. Best day of my life.

October 9, we had an outdoor wedding by a lake, and I married my best friend. Best day of my life.

February 18th, My husband and I left our home to head to the hospital where they were planning to induce my labor. I remember the excitement, and joy we both felt. I think my husband was more nervous than I was, I was just ready to hold my baby.
February 20, My son was born via C-section, the Booper, turned my world upside down.
Best day of my life.

Tomorrow, I may look back on the precious moments of today, and tell you. Best day of my life.~Beck

  2. Love this post! I too have had many different "best days of my life". One of them was when my youngest daughter was born. Then later when she had her son. Each day is a gift! Looking back I realize that I missed some good things because I was looking for something else. But now I am searching every day for something to be thankful for!
