Family Game On Anytime! {game review}

I received the below mentioned game free from Hasbro for the purpose of review, all views and opinions are my own honest evaluations. See Disclosure.
I don't know how it is in your family but in my family games bring out our competitive side. We love getting into our games and the more action the better! Some families have a game night but we like to play anytime we are all together. Having a new game makes our game time even more fun, and when that game happens to be Hasbro's new World Series of Yahtzee...it was GAME ON!

Packaging on this new World Series of Yahtzee game was exciting and I was dying to play. The Booper loves games but at only 3 years old he just couldn't play this yet. All the colorful dice were fun for him to stack and play with though. My family was getting together for lunch at my grandmother's house and after lunch we cleared the table to play this fun new game. My grandmother is the one who made me love the original Yahtzee, she would let us win when we were little but now it's every one for themselves!

Game Set Up is pretty simple. The game board requires 2 AA batteries that aren't included and a screwdriver to put them in place. Once the batteries are in place you pop 4 plastic brackets on the black game board and lay it over the buzzer. Green playing cards have to be punched out but it only takes a minute or two and our little guys were happy to help. Each player selects a set of dice.

Rules to this game are easy to pick up if you've played the original Yahtzee, but if not that's alright I'm sure you would catch on fast. Made for players 8 years and older my niece is 10 and she was able to win a few rounds so it's really anyone's game.

Play (in my simple terms)you all roll at the same time and try to get a match to one of the cards on the game board. If you roll a match you hit your buzzer and everyone else has 5 seconds to keep trying. When the music stops the first person grabs the card they matched and gets the points on that card. You continue around to each person if they have a match they get a card with points no card, no points. Play continues until all the cards are off the board. You then count up all your points and the highest score wins!

Action this game is all about it! Once we all got the hang of it we were blazing through the rounds. Strategy starts to play a roll in who would hit the buzzer first or wait. When the highest scoring card (Yahtzee of course) was up on the board the play would be intense. I loved hearing my grandmother squeal like a little kid when she got her Yahtzee and hit the buzzer first. Playing the new World Series of Yahtzee from Hasbro was fun and making great memories with my family was the best part.

You can find World Series of Yahtzee in March  with an Approximate Retail Price: $19.99

  1. I checked the website and was surprised how many Hasbro games we have. We have 4 different versions of Monopoly (regular, National Parks, University of Florida, and Air Force). We enjoy Sorry, Yahtzee, Battleship, to name a few. However, by far our favorite one is SCRABBLE.
